Built 1949 as water tank wagons TWN18000-18001 on underframes from flat wagon WF3365 and WF3412 respectively (first built as W open wagons 1906). To fuel oil tanks TOW18000-18001 early 1950s. To Port Lincoln 1963 as TOW class, although carrying diesel fuel. Recoded TDW (diesel fuel) mid-1960s according to ‘head office’ records, but appear never to have carried this code. Listed as TOW 1975 onwards. Fitted with roller bearing bogies ex OMN wagons 1970. Ex Port Lincoln Aug 1984. Tanks from both these vehicles mounted on standard gauge flat AQMX2066 to form ATQY2066 for Mereenie (Alice Springs) oil traffic.
